Four years ago, Mercari India began with a small team and a big ambition: to build a world-class team in India that could help power Mercari’s global mission. Today, we’re marking our fourth anniversary with the milestone we’ve been waiting for – a new address.
We’ve officially moved into our new office on the Mercari India, 8th Floor, Zinnia 8C, Embassy Tech Village, Outer Ring Road, Kadubeesanahalli, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560103. It’s bigger, brighter, and built around the people and culture that have come to define Mercari India. So – the wait is over. Here’s a look inside.
A new address, and a new chapter
Since opening our doors in 2022, Mercari India has grown into a community spanning engineering, product, platform, AI, People, and corporate functions. As the team grew, so did a simple question: what kind of space could carry us into our next chapter? This new office is our answer – not just more room, but a fresh start designed around how we actually work and who we are.

Step out of the lift and you’re welcomed by a curved white reception desk, a softly backlit mercari logo, and a sweeping wall of wooden shelves filled with real finds – the kinds of things people buy and sell on Mercari every day. There’s a Kashima Antlers jersey, plush toys and collectible figures, trophies, framed art, books and little potted plants, each one a reminder that behind every listing is a person, a story, and a second life for something well-loved.
Look around and the mission that guides everything we do is built right into the space: “Circulate all forms of value to unleash the potential in all people.” It isn’t tucked away in a slide deck – it’s on the wall, where everyone can see it.
Where India meets Japan
The heart of Mercari India is the connection between two countries – and you can feel it the moment you walk the floor. Our meeting rooms are named after cities across India and Japan, and each one is etched onto frosted glass with a landmark from the city it’s named for.
Tokyo — Mount Fuji, Tokyo Tower and cherry blossoms.
Delhi — the Lotus Temple in fine line art.
Elsewhere you’ll find a landmark steel bridge, a skyline of familiar towers, and rooms with names like Kyoto. Step into any of them and you’re reminded of the cross-border collaboration that makes Mercari, Mercari.
Our values, out in the open

We didn’t want our values living only in documents. Across the workspace they’re built into the environment – from a bold “Move Fast” graphic to a giant, motion-blurred “Mercari” stretching across the windows. And the office itself was shaped by one value in particular: All for One. Rather than designing it behind closed doors, we invited ideas from people across teams – on everything from collaboration spaces to the cultural touches they wanted to see and many of those ideas made it into the final space.

Mark-san and our leaders travelled in for the occasion to inaugurate the new office. To mark the move and our fourth anniversary, the whole team came together – we lit the ceremonial lamp, cut the ribbon, and celebrated four years and a new beginning.

Building the future together
We believe the best ideas show up when people have room to collaborate, challenge one another, and learn together. The new office was designed for exactly that – collaborative spaces, meeting areas, and community corners that bring teams together. As Mercari grows into an increasingly AI-native, globally connected company, spaces like this matter more than ever.
This office isn’t simply where work happens. It’s where conversations become ideas, ideas become products, and products create value for people around the world.
